I am pleased to announce 20 new members to the Greenfield High School Chapter of the German National Honor Society were inducted, 18 students received their 2nd year pins, and 9 students received their 3rd year pins at a ceremony in the GHS PAC February 28, 2018. It was a lovely evening orchestrated by the GNHS officers and members. The evening included presentation
by GHS color guard cadets Nola Schulz, Emily Brahm, Benjamin Mitchell, and Jarek Rex, a warm welcome from Melissa Cook, German singing with ukulele accompaniment by
Danielle Hoffman and Emily Szymanski, German poetry recitation
by Rachel Butargabe and Stephanie Taddey, and a German dance
performance from Sam Behling, Jack Tremarello, Isabella Lubotsky, Julianne Schmidt, Jessica Barrett and Eric Effinger. Sharon Kaempfer, UWM Academic Advisor at the School of Engineering and Applied Science was our guest speaker. She regularly takes university students to Germany to learn about German engineering. This past December one of our GHS graduates, Adam Klimers (Class of 2014), participated in that experience. Thank you to Mitch Filber, Lynn Ludwig and Tom Ehlers for your technical and set up assistance.
