Twelve new members to the Greenfield High School Chapter of the German National Honor Society were inducted, 20 students received their 2nd year pins, 12 students received their 3rd year pins, and our 2 German exchange students were presented with German and American flag pins at the German National Honor Society Induction Ceremony in the GHS PAC on the evening of Wednesday, February 27, 2019. It was a lovely evening orchestrated by the GNHS officers and members. The evening included presentation by GHS color guard cadets Aleksander Wellner, Emily Brahm, Nola Schulz, and Caleb Curry, a warm welcome from Mr. Thusius, the introduction of GNHS and German program highlights at GHS by Frau Goodkind, German poetry recitation by Stephanie Taddey, German singing with electric guitar accompaniment by Joseph Karcher and Matthew Hampel, and an oboe and trumpet Bach duet performed by Sara Taylor and Olivia Davis. Karlee Weber (GHS graduate, Past-President of GNHS, and current student at UWM) and Eric Effinger (current GNHS member) were our guest speakers. They shared their unique experiences as exchange students in Rosenheim, Germany during the summer of 2018.
