With so many events being cancelled during distance learning, I have some great news to share.
Junior Achievement of Wisconsin stepped up for our students and instead of cancelling the State Business Challenge, they came through for our students using zoom to host the competition. Needless to say our students were excited to wake up early this morning and participate.
Today at the state finals, the top 20 teams in the state competed in the JA State Business Challenge. Two of those teams were from Greenfield High School. Our teams took 1st and 2nd place overall in the competition.
The team of Gunther Stroschin, Maxwell Siepert and David Kane took 1st place. For their accomplishment, each member of the championship team earned a $1,000 scholarship for post-secondary education courtesy of Junior Achievement.
The team of Mariah Yaghnam, John Polster and Bennett Hoppe took 2nd place. For their accomplishment, each member of the 2nd place team earned a $500 scholarship for post-secondary education courtesy of Junior Achievement.
