COACHING PHILOSOPHY: Simplify the game as much as possible and relentlessly work, work, work on the fundamentals. The teaching and learning of the basic fundamentals is where a coach MUST be the toughest on the players. If the players on your team are not efficient at shooting, dribbling, passing, blocking out, rebounding and of course defense – then the greatest basketball schemes and game plans will fail. Conversely, give me a team who knows how to play basketball, a team with confidence in their skills with a nose for the basket and tough aggressive defense – the simplest of all schemes will work.
