The Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks battled until the final buzzer Saturday night, but ultimately fell to Burlington 59–54 in the WIAA Regional Final, bringing a competitive and memorable season to a close.
Greenfield entered the game with a 15–11 record and showed resilience throughout the contest against the Demons (17–10). The Hawks kept the game within reach from start to finish, fighting through key moments and continuing to pressure Burlington late into the fourth quarter.
Senior guard Azon Juarez-Quinn led the offensive effort with a game-high 23 points, providing key scoring throughout the night. Luke O'Brien added 11 points, while Patrick Morgese contributed 9 points and helped facilitate the offense with five assists.
On the defensive end and on the glass, the Hawks battled hard throughout the game. Jaylyn Rogers led the team with 11 rebounds, including two offensive boards that created second-chance opportunities for Greenfield. The Hawks finished the night with 30 total rebounds and nine assists as a team.
Despite the loss, Greenfield continued to show the grit and determination that defined their season. The Hawks earned their way to the Regional Final after securing their first regional victory earlier in the week, setting up Saturday's matchup with Burlington.
The game marked the final high school appearances for the team's seniors, who played a major role in helping guide the program this season and setting the tone for future Hawks teams.
Greenfield finishes the 2025–26 season 15–12 overall, closing the year with strong momentum and a group of underclassmen ready to build on the program's progress.
