The Greenfield Hustlin’ Hawks Wrestling team competed at the New Berlin West Sectional last Saturday, finishing 11th out of the 16 teams. The Hawks qualified six wrestlers for the event and had one wrestler advance to the semi-final round and one advance to finals. Leading the way for Greenfield were Alex Schroeter at 126lbs and Kevin Pollack at 152lbs.
Schroeter won his opening round match-up against Jake Garvens of Kettle Moraine by a score of 10-0. Schroeter would go on to finish in 4th place. Pollack would open the day with two victories, over Christian Beyer of Wauwatosa and Jason Bonow from Wisconsin Lutheran, by pin and a score of 13-4, respectively. In his final match, Pollack would build a 7-2 lead, before falling to Michael West of Mukwonago at the 3:53 mark of the match, in a heartbreaker.
Other Sectional qualifiers who competed for the Hawks were Max Andrade, Nat Schroeter and Wes Pilak. Congrats to all members of the Hustlin’ Hawks Wrestling team on another successful season!
