Girls Varsity Swimming · Girls Varsity Swim places 2nd at Invitational at Riverside Middle School (Watertown)

  Place Points
Greenfield High School 2nd 512

The “SugarHawks” finished in the runner-up position on Saturday as they easily outdistanced Conference rival Greendale by 58 points at the 5 team Watertown Invite at Riverside middle school in Watertown.

Madison Misko led the attack with 2 gold medal efforts in both the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard butterfly events. In both events Misko was within 1 second of the current school records. The 200 yard medley relay also just missed the school record by only .5 seconds. Misko pooled her talents with Sophia Davis, Elizabeth Misorski, and Gabrielle LePine to win that event.

Head Coach Dale Schrank was pleased with the effort levels, but was concerned about the number of mistakes in some of the races. ” If we are going to continue to make waves in the Conference, we are going to have to be very aware of swimming as mistake free as possible as we finish the season”, commented Schrank.

Kira Goodbear and Sophie Girard were the “Swimmers of the Meet” with some very strong Backstroke performances.

The “SugarHawks” will see their next action at home against the squad from West Allis Central . Swi9m Action starts at 5:00 p.m.
