I started teaching physical education at GHS in 1998. I got involved right away and coached girls track till 2000. I started my family of three and took some years off from coaching. In 2006, Ernie Rosenthal asked me to be his assistant cross country coach. We coached together for 10 years. I then became Nate Penn's assistant in 2019 and coached 4 years with him. Nate decided to step down and I took over as head coach in 2023. I always had a passion for running. We have so much talent here at GHS! I hope to continue to open their eyes at the possibility of running and the benefits of being on the cross country team. It is a lifetime sport that builds so much character and inner strength.
