Coaching Philosophy: My philosophy is to provide a positive and supportive environment for the dancers. I am an enthusiastic teacher who is able to adapt my teaching style to fit the needs of each student. I am well experienced and have patience to explain the techniques and steps over for the team to feel confident with their routines. I am also able to create fun and challenging dance routines that are appropriate for all skill levels. The dancers will develop, learn, and grow their dance technique and skills throughout the season.

BIO: I am currently working at a middle school as a School Counselor with grades 6-8. I teach Social Emotional Lessons (SEL) to provide support to my students. In my lessons, I need to differentiate my teaching in order to successfully reach students with a broad range of learning styles and needs.

Play Experience: I was a part of the dance team at West Allis Nathan Hale from 2008-2012 and Alverno College from 2012-2016. I was the team captain at Nathan Hale from 2011-2012. The styles of dance I have performed are poms, kick, hip hop, and jazz. I have attended workshops and classes to develop different techniques for skills. I would perform at basketball games, football games, and competitions. I have attended multiple competitions through Badgerette, Regionals, and State. 

Coaching Experience: I have previously taught as a Volunteer Dance Coach at Alverno College from 2016-2017. I have taught different techniques to dance team members, such as toe touches, leaps, turns, splits, and etc. I have created choreography for dance routines, demonstrated dance methods, explained proper health and safety techniques, such as stretches and nutrition. I have developed my communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Source of Inspiration: My source of inspiration is watching So You Think You Can Dance, and listening to the dancers share their story on how they came into the path of dance. Also, seeing the impact dance has on them in a positive way.
