The Greenfield boys volleyball team took the court on Tuesday, October 1, for a competitive matchup against West Allis. Despite the 0-3 final score, the Hawks showed determination and effort throughout the night.
Highlights from the match included strong play at the net by Ryan Walhovd, who tallied 5 kills, and solid setting from Romario Ortega, who recorded 13 assists. Defensively, Brayden Noe and Trevor Schueller each collected 7 digs, helping keep rallies alive for the Hawks.
Set scores were close early, with Game 1 finishing 22-25, before West Allis pulled away in Games 2 and 3 with scores of 16-25 and 11-25. While the result didn't fall Greenfield's way, the team continues to build experience and chemistry heading into the next stretch of the season.
