The Greenfield girls volleyball team put together two strong performances this week, opening with a sweep over West Allis Central before battling through a hard-fought four-set loss to Whitefish Bay.
Against West Allis Central, the Hawks dominated from start to finish, winning in straight sets (25-4, 25-14, 25-14). Olivia Hoedel powered the attack with 7 kills, while Nico Dallmann added 5 kills and a match-high 6 aces. Layla Somers contributed 3 kills, and setter Emily Mal directed the offense with 15 assists and chipped in 2 aces.
The team carried that momentum into their matchup with Whitefish Bay, taking the opening set 25-18 before falling in the next three (21-25, 23-25, 14-25) in a competitive back-and-forth match. Hoedel once again led the offense with 11 kills and 7 digs, while Dallmann tallied 8 kills, 2 blocks, and 9 digs. Mal filled the stat sheet with 5 kills, 26 assists, 12 digs, and 2 aces. Chloe Rodriguez and Nuriah Kaabachi were steady at the net, combining for 9 kills and 5 blocks, while libero Cali Rodriguez anchored the defense with 22 digs and Vanessa Mumper added 8 digs.
The Hawks continue to show depth and balance as they push through conference play, building momentum and experience against strong opponents.
