The Greenfield girls volleyball team delivered a heart-pounding performance Tuesday night, outlasting South Milwaukee in a back-and-forth battle to claim a 3-2 victory. The win keeps the Hawks unbeaten in Woodland Conference play at 4-0 and showcased the team's grit and depth from start to finish.

The match opened with South Milwaukee narrowly taking the first set 25-22, but Greenfield answered with determination. The Hawks stormed back to capture the next two sets—25-19 and 25-16—behind sharp serves and relentless defense. South Milwaukee wasn't done, rallying to take set four 25-23 and forcing a decisive fifth. In the winner-take-all frame, Greenfield surged ahead early and never looked back, closing out the night 15-10.

It was a complete team effort highlighted by outstanding individual performances. Olivia Hoedel powered the attack with 12 kills, 14 digs, and 7 aces. Ava Teschendorf expertly set the tone with 29 assists, adding 13 digs and 2 aces. Layla Somers tallied 10 kills, while Nico Dallmann added 7 kills and 11 digs. At the net, Chloe Rodriguez and Nuriah Kaabachi each contributed 5 kills and a block, with Kaabachi also digging 7 balls. Defensively, Cali Rodriguez and Vanessa Mumper anchored the back row, each posting 23 digs and an ace.
