The Greenfield Girls Basketball team continued its early-season grind on Monday night, taking on Whitnall in a competitive matchup that tested the Hawks on both ends of the floor. Despite strong effort and flashes of momentum, Greenfield fell to the Falcons by a final score of 48–32.

The Hawks showed resilience throughout the game, competing hard defensively and working to create scoring opportunities against a tough Whitnall defense. Greenfield forced turnovers and battled on the glass, finishing the night with 38 total rebounds and seven steals as a team.

Armani Tauschek led the Hawks offensively, scoring 16 points while adding six rebounds. Ava Teschendorf provided a spark, knocking down timely shots and finishing with five points, while Olivia Hoedel contributed four points and five rebounds. Marija Suha and Isla Higgins added physicality inside, helping Greenfield control stretches of the rebounding battle.

Defensively, Greenfield stayed active in passing lanes, with multiple players recording steals and deflections that helped keep the game within reach. The Hawks also capitalized at the free-throw line, shooting 66.7% as a team.

While the final score didn't fall in Greenfield's favor, the Hawks continue to show growth, toughness, and commitment as they gain valuable experience early in the season. The team will look to build on this performance as they prepare for upcoming conference play.
