The Greenfield girls basketball team faced a strong challenge on the road against Kenosha Indian Trail, falling 74–48 in non-conference action.
Despite the final score, the Hustlin' Hawks showed flashes of offensive balance and continued growth against a quality opponent. Junior Armani Tauschek led the way for Greenfield with a team-high 17 points, knocking down 7 of 16 shots and adding three rebounds and two assists.
Senior Olivia Hoedel contributed 10 points and four rebounds, while Ella Cruz finished with nine points, including two three-pointers, and added two rebounds. Junior Jayda Easley provided a spark off the bench with seven points, shooting an efficient 3-for-4 from the field.
Greenfield finished the game shooting 39.1% from the field and connected on five three-pointers, showing the ability to score from multiple spots on the floor. Defensively, the Hustlin' Hawks worked to limit second-chance opportunities and battled on the glass throughout the game.
The contest served as another valuable learning opportunity for a young Greenfield squad as they continue to gain experience and prepare for the remainder of the season.
Greenfield will look to build on the positives from this matchup as they return to conference play.
