The Greenfield Girls Flag Football team put up an exciting offensive performance on Sunday, October 19th, in a hard-fought 30–42 contest against Waukesha West. The Hawks showed impressive balance on both sides of the ball, with several standout performances across the roster.
Cora Van Gorder led the charge for Greenfield, finding the end zone four times while also contributing defensively with a flag pull. Despite throwing two interceptions, Van Gorder's playmaking ability kept the Hawks within striking distance throughout the game.
On both sides of the ball, Tatum Phelps made her presence felt—hauling in two receptions, recording a team-high eight flag pulls, and snagging three interceptions to stall multiple Waukesha drives.
Julia Kruschke added three touchdowns and five catches while pulling two flags and intercepting two passes, continuing her strong all-around season. Alana Allen contributed one touchdown and four key receptions, while Ashlyn Dobson added a clutch two-point conversion, six flag pulls, and a reception to round out a solid night's work.
Defensively, Stephanie Rodriguez and Somaya Roman each chipped in with crucial flag pulls, and Gianna Ithier Wagner added a reception to keep drives alive.
Although the Hawks fell short on the scoreboard, their determination, teamwork, and explosive offense made for a thrilling matchup. The group continues to build momentum and chemistry as they close out the season.
