After a slow start, the Greenfield Hawks Girls Soccer found their rhythm in the second half and secured a strong 2-0 win behind a pair of goals from Marija and a solid defensive effort throughout the night.
The Hawks broke the scoreless tie in the 63rd minute after excellent defensive pressure in the attacking third by Ari Jenner forced a turnover. Marija took advantage of the opportunity, dribbling past two defenders before finding the back of the net to give Greenfield a 1-0 lead.
Greenfield added insurance in the 77th minute when Marija delivered again, scoring on a free kick from 20 yards out to seal the victory.
The Hawks created consistent offensive pressure throughout the match with multiple shots on target from Mu Gha, Natalia Andrus, Akemi Jimenez, and Kenzie Arakachi.
Defensively, Greenfield's back line remained strong for the full 80 minutes, helping preserve the shutout and secure the conference victory.
