The Greenfield boys' soccer team kept its hot streak alive, defeating rival Greendale 3–2 in an emotional, hard-fought matchup to secure its fourth straight victory—and its first win over Greendale since 2017.

The Hawks came out flying, peppering the goal with eight shots in the first six minutes but couldn't find the back of the net early. Greendale capitalized on a counterattack to take a 1–0 lead, but Greenfield responded immediately. Patrick Morgese buried the equalizer off an assist from Vinny Ortega, and moments later Mason Englehardt scored on a rebound to give the Hawks a 2–1 halftime advantage.

Greendale leveled the match again early in the second half, but Greenfield refused to back down. Logan Xiong delivered the go-ahead goal midway through the half, putting the Hawks ahead 3–2—a lead they would not relinquish.

With the victory, Greenfield continues its momentum heading into the final stretch of the season, showing resilience, teamwork, and the kind of grit that defines Hawk soccer.
