Greenfield Football Soars to 50–22 Victory Over Milwaukee Lutheran

The Hustlin' Hawks delivered a commanding performance Thursday night (Sept. 11), defeating Milwaukee Lutheran 50–22 to move to 3–1 on the season. From start to finish, Greenfield combined an explosive offense with stout defense to control the game on their home field.

Greenfield's passing attack was on point, completing 7 of 9 throws for 165 yards and five touchdowns. Junior quarterback Luke O'Brien led the way, going 5-for-6 for 125 yards and four passing touchdowns, while also adding a rushing score. Senior Brayden Ziarek chipped in with a perfectly executed 35-yard touchdown pass on his lone attempt.

The Hawks' receiving corps spread the ball effectively:

On the ground, Greenfield racked up 163 yards rushing. Jose Garcia powered the run game with 77 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Nate Teicher broke free for a 35-yard burst, while O'Brien and Bradley combined for another 39 yards.

Defensive Highlights

The Hawks' defense set the tone early and never relented. Nolan Kranich anchored the unit with 5 total tackles, while Zach Safka was a force up front, recording 4.5 tackles, including one sack and a tackle for loss. Senior leaders Jaden Sanchez and Nate Teicher each added 3 tackles and a TFL. Additional strong efforts came from Keegan Brylow and Mason Brinkman, who each notched a sack.

Special Teams Spark

Special teams were equally sharp. Brayden Ziarek handled kickoff duties, driving 9 kicks for 43 total yards with 3 touchbacks, and was a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points. Kicker Patrick Morgese also went 3-for-3 on PATs. O'Brien added a successful two-point conversion to round out Greenfield's efficient kicking game.

Looking Ahead

With balanced scoring and swarming defense, Greenfield continues to build momentum midway through the season. The Hawks will look to carry this energy into next week's matchup as they aim to extend their winning streak and keep climbing the Woodland Conference standings.
