The Brookfield Glacier Girls Hockey team delivered one of the most exciting games of their season Thursday night in Janesville, outlasting the Janesville Bluebirds in a dramatic 5-4 double overtime victory.

In a thrilling, late-night battle, the Glacier showed resilience and grit, responding to every challenge before sealing the win in the second overtime period.

Schultz had a standout performance, factoring into four of the five goals with two goals and two assists. Groneck added two key assists, while Mead, Lenz, and Eckert each contributed crucial tallies.
In net, freshman Zoey Smeiska (Wauwatosa East) turned away 25 of 29 shots, anchoring the Glacier defense during high-pressure moments and overtime play.
Tough Road Test Against Madison Metro
On Saturday, the Glacier faced another challenge on the road, falling 2-1 to the Madison Metro Lynx in a tightly contested matchup.
Lindsey Mead continued her strong stretch of play, scoring the Glacier's lone goal. Junior goaltender Georgianna Janet (Brookfield Central) delivered an outstanding performance between the pipes, stopping 36 of 38 shots and keeping Glacier within striking distance throughout the game.
