The Greenfield softball team put together a dominant all-around performance Tuesday evening, rolling to an 11-1 victory over the University School of Milwaukee in five innings.

The Hawks erupted offensively with 11 runs on seven hits while also taking advantage of aggressive baserunning and disciplined at-bats. Greenfield scored four runs in the second inning, added four more in the fourth, and closed things out with three runs in the fifth.

Erin Brielmaier led the charge both in the circle and at the plate. She tossed a one-hit complete game, allowing just one unearned run while striking out 10 batters over five innings. At the plate, Brielmaier added two hits and two RBI to help fuel the Hawks offense.

Calla Gbur had a huge night offensively, finishing with two hits, three runs scored, and two RBI. Cali Rodriguez also contributed with a hit and two RBI, while Naomi Kleszczynski added an RBI and scored once.

Greenfield's speed created constant pressure on the bases, as Naomi Kleszczynski and Piper Schick each recorded stolen bases. The Hawks also showed patience at the plate, drawing seven walks as a team.

Defensively, Greenfield played a clean game without committing an error while holding USM hitless after the opening inning.

The Hawks continue to build momentum as conference play moves forward.
