The Greenfield/Pius XI girls swim team delivered strong performances at the 2025 Bulldog Invitational on October 11, hosted by Cedarburg High School. Competing against some of the top programs in the state, the Hawks showcased depth, determination, and steady improvement across multiple events.
In the 200 Medley Relay, the team of Jennifer Werth, Emersyn LePine, Grace Pagel, and Piper Seehawer led the way with a time of 2:01.70, securing 7th place overall and valuable team points. Individually, Ava Wuerzberger earned an impressive 8th-place finish in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 256.00.
The Hawks also made waves in the distance events, highlighted by Emersyn LePine's 8th-place finish in the 500 Freestyle (5:40.03) and her strong showing in the 100 Breaststroke, placing 6th overall (1:12.26). Piper Seehawer and Ava Keiller contributed key swims in the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke, while Jennifer Werth had solid performances in both the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke, finishing in the top half of each event.
Rounding out the day, the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Luna Mendieta, Werth, Keiller, and LePine battled through a deep field to close with a time of 4:32.87, earning additional team points.
The Greenfield/Pius XI squad finished 8th overall out of 12 teams, capping off a successful invitational meet marked by consistency, teamwork, and continued progress heading into the late-season stretch.
