The Greenfield/Pius XI Girls Swim Team turned in a strong showing at the Woodland Conference Championships on October 25 at the Waukesha South Natatorium, finishing 5th overall in the team standings.
Leading the way was freshman Emersyn LePine, who broke the school record in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:13.10, surpassing the previous mark of 2:13.94 set by her sister, Gabrielle LePine. Emersyn's performance earned her a runner-up finish in the event and cemented her as one of the top underclass swimmers in the conference. She also took second place in the 100 Breaststroke (1:08.42), continuing her outstanding debut season.
The Hawks had several other standout performances:

Piper Seehawer placed 4th in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:01.70, showing excellent consistency throughout the race.

Jennifer Werth finished 5th in the same event (1:04.08) and contributed to the team's success in multiple relays.

Ava Keiller, Werth, LePine, and Jennifer Werth combined for a 4th-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay (1:58.18).

The 400 Freestyle Relay team of Seehawer, Grace Pagel, Werth, and LePine capped the meet with a strong 5th-place finish in 3:54.57.
Senior Grace Pagel also competed in the 200 IM and 100 Free, helping the Hawks earn crucial team points, while freshman Tegan Tervoort gained valuable varsity experience in distance events.
Overall, the Greenfield/Pius XI co-op demonstrated excellent depth and teamwork, highlighted by strong swims across individual and relay events. With a mix of veteran leadership and exciting young talent, the team is poised for continued success as the postseason continues.
