The Glacier girls' varsity hockey team wrapped up its week with a hard-fought contest on Friday, December 19, coming up just short in a 4–2 loss to University School–Milwaukee. Despite the final score, Glacier showed resilience, depth, and strong individual performances throughout the night.
Offensively, Glacier was led by Ella Vranak (Catholic Memorial – Senior) and Madeline MacLeod (Waukesha West – Senior), each finding the back of the net to keep the game within reach. Their goals highlighted Glacier's ability to generate scoring chances against a tough opponent.
Playmaking efforts from Lindsey Mead (Menomonee Falls – Junior) and Deah Toska (Union Grove – Junior) helped fuel the offense, with both players recording assists and providing key support in transition.
Between the pipes, Georgianna Janet (Brookfield Central – Junior) delivered an outstanding performance, turning aside 40 of 44 shots faced. Her composure and consistency kept Glacier competitive throughout the game and anchored the team defensively.
While the result didn't go Glacier's way, the effort and determination displayed by the team reflected the program's growth and grit. With strong senior leadership and impactful underclassmen contributions, Glacier continues to build momentum as the season progresses.
