The Glacier Girls Varsity hockey team battled through a competitive week, hosting two tough opponents and showcasing grit, skill, and standout goaltending in both contests.
Tuesday vs. Fond du Lac Warbirds
In their first matchup of the week, Glacier fell 3–1 to the Fond du Lac Warbirds.
Scoring for the Glacier:
In net, Georgianna Janet (Brookfield Central, Jr.) was exceptional, turning away 46 of the 49 shots she faced to keep Glacier within striking distance throughout the game.
Saturday vs. Arrowhead Warhawks
The Glacier returned home Saturday evening for a tight battle with Arrowhead, ultimately falling 3–2 in a back-and-forth contest.
Scoring for the Glacier:
Freshman goaltender Zoey Smeiska (Wauwatosa East) delivered a strong performance between the pipes, making 26 saves on 29 shots.
Despite the losses, the Glacier continue to show resilience and promise as they progress through the season. With strong veteran leadership and rising young talent, the team looks poised to build on these performances and come back even stronger in their upcoming games.
