Greenfield Baseball Powers Past Cudahy with Dominant Fourth Inning

The Greenfield Varsity Hawks secured a solid 4-1 victory over the Cudahy Packers on Wednesday night, thanks to a crucial four-run burst in the fourth inning and a stellar performance on the mound.

Senior pitcher Mason Grafwallner was lights out, striking out 13 batters over 4.2 innings and allowing just one hit. Grafwallner kept the Cudahy lineup quiet before handing the ball off to Ethan Miszewski, who closed out the final 2.1 innings with four strikeouts of her own.

Offensively, Greenfield made the most of their opportunities in the fourth inning. Nate Wendricks, Elijah Hunt, Eli Francour, and Brady Zimmer all recorded hits and contributed to the team's run production. Wendricks, Giegerich, and Hunt also showed off their speed, each swiping a base to help apply pressure.

Defensively, the Hawks were sharp, committing no errors and limiting Cudahy to just three hits all game. The win reflects the team's continued discipline, timely hitting, and aggressive base running.

With this victory, the Hawks build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.

Greenfield improves to 4 runs on 5 hits, while holding Cudahy to just 1 run on 3 hits.
