The Greenfield Varsity Hawks put together a dominant performance on Wednesday, cruising to a 16-1 win over Augustine Prep behind explosive offense and lights-out pitching.
Greenfield set the tone immediately, plating 11 runs in the first inning and taking full control from the start. The Hawks combined patience at the plate with aggressive baserunning to keep constant pressure on Augustine Prep throughout the game.
Jamie Murray led the offensive charge, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Cali Rodriguez matched that production with a perfect 2-for-2 performance, adding two runs and two RBIs of her own.
Naomi Kleszczynski delivered a strong all-around effort, finishing with a hit, two runs, two RBIs, and two walks at the plate. In the circle, she earned the win, striking out four over two hitless innings.
Erin Brielmaier followed with a dominant outing of her own, tossing two no-hit innings while striking out four to secure the victory. Together, the Hawks' pitchers combined for a no-hitter, allowing just one run while striking out eight.
Additional contributions came from across the lineup. Grace Mysilwy added a hit and scored twice, helping keep the offense rolling, while Jayda Easley contributed a hit and crossed the plate twice as part of Greenfield's balanced attack.
The Hawks finished with eight hits and showed strong discipline, drawing 10 walks. They also stayed aggressive on the bases, with Murray and Rodriguez each recording stolen bases.
Defensively, Greenfield was just as sharp, playing a clean game with no errors and providing steady support behind their pitchers.
