The Greenfield Hawks offense came alive Tuesday night, rolling to a 13-2 victory over West Allis Central behind a balanced attack at the plate and a dominant performance on the mound.
Greenfield wasted little time getting started, scoring two runs in the opening inning before continuing to apply pressure throughout the game. The Hawks added runs in five different innings, including a four-run seventh inning to seal the convincing win.
Brody Jens sparked the offense from the leadoff spot, finishing 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI. Ethan Miszewski delivered a huge night at the plate as well, going 2-for-4 with four RBIs to help power the Hawks lineup.
Chase Wallich reached base four times, drawing three walks while adding a hit and three RBIs. Devin Ueberfluss contributed both offensively and defensively, recording a double, an RBI, and strong relief pitching. JJ Francour added a hit and scored twice, while Mason Alms and Chase Eade each chipped in RBIs.
Greenfield showed patience at the plate throughout the game, drawing 15 walks as a team while also collecting 11 hits.
On the mound, Mason Grafwallner earned the win after striking out eight batters across four innings while allowing just one earned run. Devin Ueberfluss closed the door in relief, tossing three scoreless innings and allowing only one hit while striking out three.
Defensively, the Hawks stayed aggressive on the bases as well, stealing multiple bags and putting pressure on West Allis Central all game long.
With the victory, Greenfield showcased its depth offensively, disciplined approach at the plate, and strong pitching combination in a complete team performance.
